today is a sweet, happy, rainy little day! *
audra and i are best friends today. she helped me clean and pick her toys up. we sang our abc's and counted to ten a zillion times. she's so smart.
...i cleaned a lot today...sort of a cleansing.
i also downloaded a ton of michaelfranti&spearhead. love. thanks to my blogger girls out west for the introduction to the sweet sounds........if they still read me! *
i've created a little desk nook in the corner of our bedroom; whenever school STARTS! they're looking for a teacher with a master's degree now, so we're all waiting on that.
...it's ok. i'll enjoy every last sweet, fleeting moment with my little girl. i'm going to miss them when i'm waist deep in schoolwork....
husband is working late tonight. it's a bummer. and why do tv networks take a week off on all of my favorite shows?? no weeds OR bad girls club this week ... ok, don't ask on the trashy girls club, i know, they're so disgusting but i can't get enough of it. it's unreal.
i'm going to go cuddle up on the couch, i need a new book..

Anew...
So, due to the recent and abundant amount of change that has begun to take place in my life .. I have decided to re-create my blog. I deleted every last post from my old one. Did I read them, save any, look at even ONE? ... nope.
It has been exactly a year from the last time I posted a blog.
My daughter, Audra, is now 2 years old!
She is so smart, and beautiful. Here she is with her tu-tu. As soon as she puts that thing on, she's a dancin' fool. She loves spending time with her Papa [my dad], he takes her on tractor rides, feeds the fish and chickens with her, and if she's good, they go for a bike ride to the ice-cream place! She is in the 100th percentile for height and weight, with a tiny head [like her nanny and me], measuring in at a whopping 50th percentile, haha. She has a favorite blankie and loves to watch The Wizard of Oz! She's also learning her alphabet, can count to 10, and knows circle, square, and triangle.
Also, Chris and I have moved into a new apartment. We are in a duplex, with the upper unit. I kind of hate it, but we're making the best of it. Chris put a new floor in the kitchen, we bought new appliances and we are currently "fixing up" the living room. You should see the wallpaper border - - deer in the woods; no lie. Luckily, the place is a good 2 miles from my parents, which is lovely for little miss Audra. I feel badly for Marcello, he's stuck in here most of the day .. as well as Audra. She starts daycare soon, which brings me to the BIGGEST news of all.. . . . .
I'm starting NURSING SCHOOL this fall !!!!!! I'm soooooo excited! I am doing the LPN program to start, which is 13 months. My ultimate goal is to be an RN. Ideally, I would love to go on, get my Masters in Nursing and be a teacher. However, I do not know if my situation provides for that type of freedom to go to school. So, I'll finish up this program and hopefully begin work as an LPN [Licensed Practical Nurse]. I hope to find an employer that will pay for my tuition to further my degree and become an RN [Registered Nurse]. Not only is there more opportunity as an RN, but there is a MUCH bigger salary. Ultimately, I would like to work with children, pregnant women, or any combination of the two. I'm extremely nervous for school to start. All of the RN and LPN programs were full at the local community college, but luckily I found an independent school in the area with an on-site daycare as well, which is nice! I can't wait for school to start, which I'm not too sure when that will be. I have been spending all my days here with Audra and our dog, Marcello. Not that I don't love them, but I think it's time for me to go! I'm so lucky to have been able to spend all of my time with Audra the first two years of her life. Chris has been working long hours to help make us a little more money, I love him very much! A few days a week, I'm here until 8 or 9 pm by myself. It will be nice to have school work and things to do in a few short weeks!
Oh yea, and in the beginning of October my BROTHER of all people, is getting married! I get to be in the wedding and I'm very, very happy for him. We get to go on a little mini-vacation to Florida too, so that will be nice.
Today, Audra will not go down for a nap and it's driving me up the wall. I crave that little time I get to do whatever I want each day. Chris is working, possibly until midnight, which most likely means I will find myself in our big bed, watching ... hmm, what's tonight?, Wednesday?, DAMN, none of my shows are on!!! Oh well, I'm sure I'll find some trashy show to watch, it's my guilty pleasure. Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, The Real Housewives, etc, etc ... I love them all. Guilty! Oooh boy, it's only 5pm. I think I've got her down to sleep, I'm going to go do something productive, like make us some dinner! I'll try to post more frequently.
